“The Best Kept Secret – the Most Popular Event in Town”
“Swing into Spring” – is a mini fundraiser supporting the Scholarship Fund of the WMC and the WMC McLellan Competition. Each year in May or June, members and friends are invited to a luncheon – to share a glass of wine, great food, and to enjoy musical entertainment – all held in a stately, elegant home in Winnipeg.
On June 5th 2018 – our event was held in a stately home in Tuxedo. By invitation only!! Invitations were in the mail in May! If you wish an invitation to be sent out to you for the 2019 event – you need to call 204-944-9431.
This cultural fundraiser seems to grow in popularity each year, since its inception in 2001. We invite friends to support our WMC Scholarship Fund and the WMC McLellan Competition by saving the date to come for lunch in a charming family home in Winnipeg.
This year’s Swing into Spring will support the WMC McLellan Competition in 2020!
The 2018 WMC McLellan Competition for Solo Performance with the WSO on April 15th was a very successful event as those in attendance would attest to! $20,000 in awards were earned by these three artists. 1st place Andrea Lett, soprano – 2nd place David Liam Roberts, cello – 3rd place Jessica Kos-Whicher – soprano. Our Manitoba talent is second to none!
